Welcome to our website: "WE, ISRAELITES" at the Chapter of Menorah . You probably wonder about the Menorah?
Our 7 branches Menorah, Exodus 25:30-40 symbolizes the Israelites' faith. It was always present in their Temple when the Holy House stood in Jerusalem. The ultimate purpose of Menorah is not to illuminate the temple but it is a physical evidence reminding the Israelites their mission to guide other nations, to spread the light throughout the world. Isaiah 42:1-6 It is not suprising that we find it near the actual Israel state Parlement.
The mission of being the beacon of other nations, originally assigned to the Israelites, is often used by certain Christian denominations thus justifying their obligation to preach the gospel. We also acknowledge their usurpation of The Most High rights by beatifying their faithful followers as evidenced by the title of "Saint" attributed to them. What about the purgatory? The intermediary stage to reach Heaven they have created, testifies eloquently to the mercantile character of the institution. The purgatory remains for the followers a Damocles'sword. What a subtle technique of imposing a belief!
The 7 branches Menorah is not to be mixed up with the 9 branches one which representes the Chanuka in memory of Machbeth's victory.

EXODE 25:36 Their buds and their branches shall be of one piece with it, the whole of it one beaten work of pure gold. 37 You shall make its lamps seven, and they shall light its lamps to give light to the space in front of it.
