This table represents the month ABIB as conceived
by a school of thought.
There was one evening, there was one morning,
it was then the first day. So on, we arrived at the 7th day of the creation,
the day of rest, the sabbath day. And 7 days later, we were on the 14th day.
What do the Scriptures have to say about this day?
Lev 23 5-6 " The 1st month, the fourteenth day of the month, it is the "Passover" of the Lord.
And the next day 15 is the feast of bread..."
If we take into account the configuration of the month ABIB,
we can deduct that the 1st day of the year is identified by a Sunday,
as Passover falls on Saturday 14 and that the celebration of this feast is in the evening.
(14-15).
Did Christ celebrate Passover with his disciples? If Yes, when was he arrested?
When was he introduced to Pilate? How to evaluate the span of 72 hours in the Tomb? We know
from the Scriptures it was mandatory to bury Him before the Sabbath and that 2 days prior this event, on the 12th,
He was at Bethany.
Christ's Death and Resurrection became puzzled from this table since we can hardly
coordinate them with the 4 Apostles' gospels where this subject was lengtly developed.
Marc 16:1-2 Luke 24:1 Luke 4:16-20 John 20:1 John 20:17-19 Matthew 28:1.We may, in the light of these gospels, conclude
that the day of Sabbath, at sunrise, there was no one in the grave.
What have we learn from the Gospels about the time Christ spent in the grave?
Luc 9:22 John 2:19-20 John 11:9
Mark 8:31 & 9:31 Matthew 12:40 Matthew 27:64 Jonas 1:17
The concept of 72 hours or 3 days 3 nights is widely reiterated in these writings.
That said, we invite our brothers and sisters to rebuild a more rigorous reading on the Death and Resurrection of Christ because
assimilate Sunday to the 1st day of the year is and remains misleading.
