We have devoted ourselves to the task of deepening the Gospel of John 19:31. To achieve our goal, we have compared various biblical textbooks where, in essence, we found the same language. However, we have noted a small particularity that we would like to share with you.
"Our Research on John 19:31" is handed to you as is, however we are highlighting some specifications that caught our attention.
At first, all biblical manuals, in a more or less nuanced language, report that the Sabbath associated with the death of the Massiah is a great Sabbath, a Solemn Day, a Special Day of Sabbath, Especially an Important Day of Sabbath.
It is important to mention that 2 of our 30 references including GOOD NEWS TRANSLATION and NEW ENGLISH BIBLE W/APOCRYPHA, have identified this day to Friday as Preparation day to this Sabbath while mentioning that was a day of sabbath especially sacred. However, New World Of Holy Scriptures of Jehova's Witnesses, for clarification, refers us to Leviticus 23:5-7 where we read the following:
5. In the first month, on the 14th day of the month, at twilight, is the Passover to Jehovah.
6. On the 15th day of this month, is the Festival of Unleavened Bread to Jehovah. Seven days you should eat unleavened bread.
7. On the 1st day, you will observe a holy convention. You should not do any hard work.
In doing so, the Witnesses had the courage to confront the Vicar of Rome. We would have wished that they had done so also in practice. We would have liked that to their references Lev 23:5-7, they present us also have their corollary which is none other than Lev 23:4 reads as follow:
4. "These are the seasonal festivals of Jéhovah, holy convocations that you should proclaim in the times appointed for them."
Without knowing too much why we prefer the English translation which refers to "appointed time". A word that is familiar to us all. Who has not had the opportunity to have an appointment? This involves a specific time, a given moment.
The various omissions and falsifications of the Scriptures illustrated by Act 18:21 and John 19: 31 well conceived to separate the Old & the New Testament lead us to the latest in World History. This is the decree of the Supreme Court of the United States of America to allow homosexuals to marry. Some large churches have applauded this decision. We anticipate other changes in the next biblical manuals that will pave the way for this new global trend. That the Almighty God forbid!
